Meet the Leadership

Sarah Moran

President, CEO, and Director of Audrey’s Harvest

Tween Time Founder

Tween Time Hostess and Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

My name is Sarah Moran.  I am the blessed wife of my fun-loving, hard-working, and amazing husband Bryan (16 years)…and I am a mother to three beautiful daughters–two here and one in Heaven.  Caroline (12) and Mary Claire (11) bring me great joy.  And, Audrey (who would be 9 if she were still here with us), is my inspiration for a confident, exciting eternal perspective!  Because God is always full of surprises, we are excitedly anticipating the birth of our 4th child in August!

I earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Texas in 1997 and 1999, respectively.  After that, I worked for 2 1/2 years in foster care at Texas Baptist Children’s Home here in Round Rock.  And, I have been a stay at home mom now for 12 years.  We were members of Hyde Park Baptist Church for over 15 years.  I taught 4-year-old/kindergarten Sunday School there from 2007-2013.  But, last year we felt drawn to invest in a church nearer to home so that we can get to know our neighbors.  So, our newest adventure is helping Hill Country Bible Church start a satellite in the Brushy Creek area.  (The launch date is January 11, 2015 at Walsh Middle School, and we would love to see YOU there)!  On the side, I dabble in writing and speaking.  And, I run Tween Time and our new non-profit, Audrey’s Harvest.  I can’t think of a better job than the one I have now!

I began a personal relationship with Christ as a teenager.  Contrary to the world’s logic, I have experienced the victorious, healing power of God’s grace through family trials in my youth, clinical depression and anxiety following 3 back-to-back births, the loss of our daughter in a tragic accident, and severe marital trials.  Though my faith has not prevented suffering, it has been my joy and peace in the midst of it and my HOPE for continuing to live a purposeful and abundant life.  The more I study God’s Word, the more convinced I am of its truth, its completeness, and its ability to give each of us everything we need for this life and beyond.  More than ever, I am convinced that God is who He says He is, Jesus is coming again, and we who know Him can be sure of and excited about Heaven.

I am passionate about telling others what God has done for me and making Him known.  I love to learn–and then I love to turn around and teach what I have learned.

I see a crisis in our culture.  We seem to know ABOUT God, but we don’t KNOW Him.  We say we believe in Jesus, but we have no idea what the Bible really says.  I think neighborhood Bible study, discipleship, and evangelism is a good way to start to remedy that problem.  Tween Time is, simply, a way to begin re-introducing God’s Word to our next generation and an avenue to get to know and love our neighbors.

You can read more of my story at  I am humbled to have the privilege of serving and teaching your daughters at Tween Time.  Thank you for your your confidence in us and for your continued prayers and support!

Tween Time Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

Hi, my name is Shelly Cook. I’m a 42 year old mother of 3 beautiful children, ages 14, 12 and 3. I’ve been married to the greatest guy ever for 19 years. I’m a stay at home mom who also doubles as teacher to our home-schooled children. I love reading, sewing, cooking and most of all my Jesus. I love working with kids and I love showing Jesus to yours.

I have enjoyed watching the girls of Tween Time grow in their walk with Jesus and how they have found others they can turn to in their peer group when they have troubles or need encouragement.  One of the things I’ve loved seeing the most is the love the girls show to each other and the willingness they have to share what they are learning.  I have a heart for helping girls find their true worth and to stand strong in their beliefs in a world that wants to make them conform.

Hi! my name is Cathy Shaw and I love Jesus! He saved me when I was 23 years old, and I have been following Him as my Lord and Savior ever since.  He’s also my very best friend!  I am honored to have the opportunity to disciple your child.  Thank you for sending your precious daughter week after week and sharing her with us.  My prayer is that each and every little girl in Tween Time will know Jesus in a personal, intimate relationship and desire to serve Him and walk with Him daily.

I am married to my other best friend Jonathan and we have three kiddos: Leelee (10), Riverson (7) and Houston (4). We attend Hill Country Bible Church and teach 5th graders there.  I am a stay-at-home wife and mom and I absolutely love my job!  In my spare time, I read, exercise, garden and cheer for the Longhorns!

Tween Time Small Group Leader

Hi, I’m Jenny Best.  I have been married for 16 years to my husband Paul “Skooter” Best.  I have 3 children-(Aubree, 12 yrs old; Braeden, 9 yrs old; and, Dylan 6 yrs old.)  I have 3 dogs too!  I grew up in Round Rock, graduated from Round Rock High School, and then went to Texas State (back then SWT).  I currently work as a Hiring Manager at AT&T where I have been employed for 17 years.  I came to faith in my adult life. We go to Gateway Church where I have been a volunteer in the Kids Quest program.  For fun, our kids participate in a lot of team sports like soccer, baseball, volleyball, and flag football. You can find me most weekends cheering on my kiddos with our extended family. When there is time, I like to bake, catch a movie, or go out to eat.

I joined T2 in the fall of 2012 helping Janice and Shelly.  Now, I serve alongside Cathy Shaw. I love watching the girls in fellowship. My favorite days are when they are finally brave enough to ask the hard questions and we see the light in their eyes as they learn more about HIM!

Cathy McLeod

Director, Audrey’s Harvest

Tween Time Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

My name is Cathy McLeod.  I live in the Oaklands and have two kids at Fern Bluff.  I was raised here in Round Rock, attended Brushy Creek Elementary, Chisholm Trail Middle School, and RRHS.  I married my high school sweetheart, who also grew up in Round Rock since birth!  I attended First United Methodist Church as a child, and I got some great teaching about the Bible.  However, it wasn’t until 1994 that I personally received Christ as my savior while attending Texas A&M.  When Jesus became my Lord, my life changed radically and He has been faithful every step of the way since then to guide me.  I currently work part time as a nurse at RRMC.  My family and I attend Central Baptist Church and love serving there.

God has given me a desire to teach His truths to anyone who has ears to hear! Leading a small group at Tween Time has been a tremendous blessing to me. I count it an honor to lead these young ladies into a deeper understanding of who God is and how much He loves them. It is my goal that each one would learn to find her significance in Christ alone. This world offers so many counterfeit ways to feel loved or valued, but only in Christ do we discover our true worth… and only through Christ can we love others the way He wants us to! I pray that these girls will get a strong foundation that will help them through the teenage years and beyond. Thank you for the opportunity to minister to your daughter!

Erika Rener

Secretary and Director, Audrey’s Harvest

Tween Time Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

My name is Erika Rener.  I am a wife of 43 years, mother of two, and grandmother of 5.  After a season of stay at home motherhood, I happily spent 22 years as the executive secretary in an elementary school.

In 2011, my husband and I retired and moved to Round Rock from Dallas to “do life” with our children and grandchildren.  We were longing to come alongside them, to support each other, and to serve God together.  In 2014, we are joyfully anticipating another biological grandbaby and one via adoption from Uganda!

Tween Time was a surprise blessing.  Participating as a leader has given me a unique opportunity to mentor more children and young families in our new community in Jesus’ name.  I am privileged to be involved.

Jacki Snowden

Jacki Snowden

Tween Time Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

My name is Jacki Snowden. My daughter, Lindsey, joined TweenTime in 2012, and it has been a life-changing experience for the both of us. I was raised in the church, but since my children were born I’ve worked on the weekends and haven’t been a regular church goer due to my schedule. TweenTime has given me a feeling of daily closeness to God. I learn so much right along with the girls and I enjoy being with all of them so much. TweenTime has been such a positive influence in our lives and I hope that I can be part of that change in the lives of all of these girls.

Marilyn McGahan

Treasurer and Director, Audrey’s Harvest

Tween Time Hostess and Small Group Leader (6th-7th grades)

Growing up in a Christian home, my parents sought to instill in me a love for God.  We regularly attended church where I was taught Bible stories, though most often from a moralistic perspective.  As a result, I learned good behavior but developed some faulty expectations of God.  Still, in this environment I was repeatedly exposed to God’s true Word, including the gospel.  It accomplished what God intended when by faith I came to know Jesus, my God and savior, at a young age.

My life since then has been an incredible journey of continual transformation by God’s amazing grace.  As a young Christian, I experienced a great deal of disillusionment due to my misconceptions.  Yet, God continually pursued me, revealing the truth of who He is and reordering how I view myself and everything else in life.  Through His powerful Word and control of my circumstances, God has taught me many lessons, broken sinful habits, strengthened my faith, and drawn me closer to Himself.  I have experienced His love, known His faithfulness, and discovered His sufficiency.   I still have far to go, but more and more I am learning to live by faith and enjoy what Jesus calls “abundant life.”

I am extremely grateful for my husband (of 24 years) and best friend, Bob, as well as our two precious daughters, Caroline (14 years) and Emily (11 years).  Each has come alongside me to share the life of faith in Jesus.

Our family has lived in the Round Rock community for 12 years.  I graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1987 and completed residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1988.  I was a Pharmacist and Director of Drug Information at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO for 11 years.  For the past 12 years, though, I have been a full-time wife and mother.  We attend First Baptist Church of Round Rock, and I have spent many years teaching children in Sunday School, AWANA, and VBS.  I also served as a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship in Round Rock for 7 years.

I am privileged NOW to be called to serve God in TWEEN TIME.  What a blessing it is to see young lives impacted for God’s glory!

“To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.”  Jude 24, 25

Tween Time Hostess and Small Group Leader (4th-5th grades)

Hey y’all! My name is Crissy Shelby, and I grew up in Mobile, Alabama. Life really is all about following Jesus. Quite honestly, it can be a struggle to know He is with us, holding our hand every step of the way. That’s why I am grateful for TweenTime and for YOU! May we all experience the Lord’s sweet, loving presence and the grace to know Him more fully as the Good Shepherd.

My amazing husband is Stuart and we have 4 wonderful kids: Lucy, Sam, Mac, and Jane Ellen. Our household is sometimes best described as a kid friendly Toby Mac concert:)  In my spare seconds, I enjoy reading, exercising, and having a dance party with my kids. Our church home is Saint Richard’s Episcopal Church in Round Rock where my husband is the Rector. We have lived in Texas for less than ten years, so excuse me as I say it again, “Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can’t lose.”

Tween Time Small Group Leader (4th-5th grades)

Child of the King, wife to one and mother to 4 girls. I’ve always known God and His power, but it was as a freshman in high school that I knew he wanted all of me and I wanted more of Him.  Since then, He reminds me of His grace, giving me second chance after second chance, and He continually reminds me he didn’t make a mistake with me and He has a master plan (even if it doesn’t line up with my southern living ideal)!   I love to LAUGH, cook, and work in the yard.

Thanks for sharing your angel with us.  May we all grow in our faith together this year. I’m sure I’ll grow more than the kids – I always do.

I am grateful for the gift of each day as a daughter of our Heavenly Father, wife of 15 years of a hard-working, loving man, and mom of two amazing girls.

I teach by profession, but I enjoy the opportunity to teach kids/youth about our awesome God and what He can do in our life the most. I’m thrilled to be in a teaching position with Tween Time/T2.

Over the years of my adulthood, I’ve had several opportunities to teach and mentor kids that have drawn me even closer to God and taught me so much about who He is.  In short, I  am grateful that, through teaching, I get to tell stories that the very best Author of the universe writes through His word in the Bible and in our lives.
